What to do when the application was deferred? (Columbia)

請問有Columbia去年有人從deferred pool裡被放出來嗎這段期間除了其他的application 還要做甚麼樣的update?

I think basically it's the same. Telling yo that you are good but not good enough....

If you are those who submitted around deadline and got deferred, then that means they dun have enough time to review your application before next round's review. So you are not really at waitlist.

If you are submitting early and gone thru everything, then you should be on waitlist and all you can do is update and try to contact your waitlist manager and see if there is any additional information they want from you.

I was in category 1 last year and got offer. But i'm pretty sure waitlisted applicants (category 2) still got a chance if you can add diversity to the class.

I think I am in the category 2 because I have gone through the interview. I will try my best to update. And, how do you know who is your waitlist manager? They only provided me a general mail to update information.

This was not the practice for last year, I got a specific person's contact on my deferral email. (Maybe bcoz I'm category 1... I dunno)

在GMATClub论坛上确实看到了去年有同学defer 后拿到offer 的。这个同学也是参加面试后defer的。

They will update the status on the website.
I think there're still some hopes to get the admission. So think about the admission not the defer
