have found, however, that the proportion of credit extended to retailers that was paid off on time fell sharply in
the fi rst year of the recession but returned to its prerecession level in the second year.

对于选项B, 不能理解句子的结构，分不清哪个是谓语，特别是in particular, increase的意思，请指点一下

谓语是increase。rent and utilities in particular是插入语，“特别是租金和公共事业费用”的意思

clothing retailers in Veltria saw many of their costs, rent and utilities in particular, increase. 中的saw应该做分词,但是saw好像是原型阿。。

晕，把CR做成RC

saw是see的过去式，做谓语，sb see sb/sth do (sth), increase及物/非及物动词，可以不跟宾语
Veltria的服装经销商看见XXXX尤其涨了

其他例如：2000 saw/witnessed technological bubbles worldwide crash
