ordinary mountain sickness, a common condition among mountain climbers, and one from which most people can recover, is caused by the characteristic shortage of oxygen in the atmosphere at high altitudes. Cerebral edema, a rarer disruption of blood circulation in the brain that quickly becomes life-threatening if not correctly treated from its onset, can also be caused by a shrtage of oxygen. Since the symtoms of cerebral edema resemble those of ordinary mountain sickness, cerebral edema is especially dangerous at high altitudes.

答案是选A，请问这个是为什么呀。。是说两个病实际上是不同的，所以叠加起来也不会更严重？

like ordinary mountain sickness, cerebral edema can also be caused by a shortage of oxygen.this is sth the two diseases have in common.the different is mountain sickness is a common condition because most people can recover from it. and cerebral edema is dangerous.why?so here is the assumption : the way to treat cerebral edema is different. maybe it requires special medicine or surgery. so most can recover from it like they do from mountain sickness. and in case they didnt recover the cerebral can be dangerous according to the sentence"....that quickly becomes life-threatening if not correctly treated from its onset"

症状相似 =》cerebral edema在高海拔危险
它说becomes life-threatening if not correctly treated from its onset
如果treatment相同，if 就不会发生

所以意思是说，如果两个病的treatment相同的话，即便cerebral edema上了高海拔自己也会recover?
不会life-threatening？
