Before being simplified, the instructions for computing income tax in Country R were to add 2 percent of one's annual income to the average(arithmetic mean) of 100 units of Country R's currency and 1 percent of one's annual income. Which of the following represents the simpilified formula for computing the income tax, for a person in that country whose annual income is I?
答案是50+I/40.....

还有一题：
A certian one-day seminar consisted of a morning session and an afternoon session. If each of the 128 people attending the seminar attended at least one of the two sessions, how many of the people attended the morning session only?
1. 3/4 of the people attended both the sessions.
2. 7/8 of the people attended the afternoon session.
我觉得答案是C。可是prep给的是B 。求的不是只参加morning的人们数吗。。。。

第1题也看不懂,语文能力有限,第2题解释如下:
将人群分为3种:只参加上午的为A,只参加下午的为C,上午下午都参加的为B.
(1)只给出了B,无法得到A
(2)给出的实际是B和C的,所以剩下的都是A的.
所以选b

第一道：

其实就是个说的复杂点儿的加法： 2I/100 + (100+I/100)/2=50 + I/40

第二道：

第二个条件其实包括：参加下午session的人和两场都参加的人，1-7/8=1/8 即只参加上午的部分

before simplified就是说原始公式在没有简化之前应该是怎样怎样。。

后面simplified formula 要求你得出的答案是简化以后式子

对了顺便提一句在第一个题里面这个100 units of Country R's currency 在中国就表示100元..在美国就表示100美刀....…… 他就是说法比较复杂而已。。让人看不明白

按楼上那位聪明的同学的意思我感觉题目的意思是这样的（100+1%I）/2*(1+2%) 不过算出的结果应该是近似于楼主的答案不知道我列的对不对大家讨论下吧
