题目：
During the 1980s and 1990s, the annual number of people who visited the Sordellian Mountains
increased continually, and many new ski resorts were built. Over the same period, however, the number of visitors to ski resorts who were caught in avalanches decreased, even though there was no reduction in the annual number of avalanches in the Sordellian Mountains.

这个解释怎么和E完全相反阿,前后矛盾啊,我想不通..

楼主对文中的从句修饰的成分理解有偏差，正确理解应该是：

原句wooded areas that helped prevent avalanches中，prevent avalanches的动作发出者是wooded areas，而不是construction of new ski resorts.

E选项所表达的意思是：修建新的滑雪场常常要清理掉wooded areas，所以本选项所表达的意思是increase avalanches.与题目所问相背离。
