1. Sentence structure: Not.... But...
2. Maybe is better. If you want to use 'may', it should be 'may simply is'
3. 'so much' is used as 'adv' to with 'not' to compare with 'but'

我个人看法哈
A， may simply be a reaction to certain medications 从语义上应该是修饰insomnia失眠症，该选项是作为problem的同位语从句（这俺不敢确定是同位语还是定语╮(╯▽╰)╭）

同上一个筒子说的，这里may simply be不顺

还有就是一般都是not so much 连着，拆开的情况很少的样子，有米有筒子可以找找拆开使用的句子证明一下这个是不是考点
