Should I apply HBS 3rd round?

I am really confused right now. I need help and 牛人大侠们 please let me know what you think.

My background:
1. Undergraduate GPA 3.9, University of Wisconsin - Madison
2. Working Experience: 8 years in Investment Banking in NYC
3. GMAT: 750
4. No significant community service experience
5. Somewhat unique personal experience and will have good essays and recommendation letters

I was told that 3rd is usually just a crapshoot. It's more about filling the space for the admission office (balancing gender, race, background and etc.)

So, should I just give it a shot to send everything in by April 8? or should I wait for 1st Round next year (also apply to couple more schools), assuming I still want to do it?

If I re-apply to HBS next year, will HBS have problem with re-applicants?

8 years exp, you are way over the age limit. Usually, 3 years MC/IB or 2 years MC/IB + 2 years PE and no more.

Go apply Wharton instead.

same feeling. with due respect, you will be 5 years older than everyone else around you there. how do you fit in even if you get into HBS?

1. 8年WE的人要不要申请HBS或MBA 是一个非常personal的问题。只要LZ想好了需要MBA来提升自己的职业发展，那么就大胆去申吧。当年黄晶生就是40岁的时候进的HBS.

2. LZ的问题是要不要R3申HBS，我鼓励申！虽然R3 机会很小，但不是说完全没有可能。即使没有进，无非是两种原因：1) LZ不qualified。那么整个申请的过程可以帮LZ更好地认识自我，明年的reapplication会准备地更好。2)LZ is qualified，但是类似背景的已经在R1-R2招够了。那么也不会对明年的Reapplication有什么负面影响。
