boum, thanks for your suggestion. There's something i didn't mention previously. Actually I've good academic record and consolidated research experience. I've pubished papers in chinese domestic journal and International Journal(and conference) with quite heavy data analysis in my post-graduate. Regarding to Phd in strategy, I did some research and found that universities prefer strategy Phd students who have industrial experiences. Industrial experiences can help to understand company's strategy better or i should say it helps to build some feelings about strategy. Besides, standard master degree in business rarely includes the course of strategy and entrepreneurship, by contraries, which are core/popular courses in MBA. While MBA usually prefers candidates with work experiences. To sum up, it's just a matter how to leverage your previous experience and win the tought game of Phd application. I don't see my advantage agaist flesh graduates from top universities for the application of Finance/marketing/MIS. In addition, i really like the topics of strategy and entrepreneurship. I will read related professors' papers but i still have full-time job and am preparing for the MBA interview. So first thing first. But anyway, good to know some different ideas. -- by 会员 dong80 (2010/2/3 21:32:13)
