Industrialists from the country Distopia were accused of promoting the Distopian intervention in the Arcadian civil war merely to insure that the industrialistis' facilities in Arcadia made substantial profits during the war. Yet this cannot be the motive since,as the Distopians foresaw,Distopia's federal expenses for the intervention were eight billion dollars, wheareas during the war, profits from the Distopian industrialists' facilities in Arcadia totaled only four billion dollars.

yet后面的this指的到底是什么啊？是“D国对A国内战的干扰只是为了确保工业盈利”这个观点吗？

等等，好像有点懂了，大家来看看这个思路对不对。如果是那些没有得到profit的人花了大部分钱，说明他们是为了确保得到profit才干涉的，那么笔者认为不仅仅因为想确保profit才干涉内战，就错了。

题目哪里的啊？我觉得选B啊！
题目：
1）D国的企业家被指控，因为大量的利益而干涉A国内战；
2）结论：这个“大量的利益”不可能是D国企业家的动机。因为“D国干涉A国内战，只能获得4 million的利益,但却需要花费8 billion”。这样，D国企业家在Profit上，不就损失了么！所以“profit”只是借口啦！
问题：下面哪一个可以证明2）的推理是错误的？
问题突破口在于："profit" 4 million是怎么计算的？其实4 million是“目前可以计算到的，即至少的利益”。那如果D国的其他企业家也来掺和的话，“profit”好似就不止这个数了！
B:“那些没有得到profit的人花了大部分钱”，目的就是为了能到A国来分一杯羹！倘若掺和成功的话，“profit”就远远不止4 million喽~~~他们的目的，不是来瓜分“已得利益”，而是来创造“未来潜在的利益”！

也就是说的确是为了profit才干涉的，对吧。
arguer的不仅仅为了利益干涉的看法是错的，这样说对不对？
