33. P(Favor M) = 40/100, P(Favor N) = 30/100
P(FM & FN) = ? = P(FM) + P(FN) - P(FM or FN)

Condition 1, 1 - P(FM or FN) = 40/100 => P(FM or FN) = 60/100
Condition 2, P(not FM & not FN) = 10/100 (inconclusive)

34. 3⁸ⁿ⁺³ + 2 is divided by 5
anything ending with a 0 or a 5 is divisible by 5

Let's look at the last digit of 3^x
x 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
last digit 3 9 7 1 3 9 7 1 3 9 7 1

so the last digit of 3^8n is 1 and the last digit of 3^(8n+3) is 7 => last digit of 3^(8n+3) + 2 is 9 => remainder is 4
