Printwell’s Ink Jet Division manufactures ink-jet printers and the ink cartridges they use.Sales of its ink-jet printers have increased.Monthly revenues from those sales, however, have not increased, because competition has forced Printwell to cut the prices of its printers.Unfortunately, Printwell has been unable to bring down the cost of manufacturing a printer. Thus, despite the increase in printer sales, the Ink Jet Division must be providing the company with much smaller than it used to.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument?
但是我觉得B选项也可能呀~ 题目里说,主要是因为不能再bring down the cost of manufacturing, 才导致revenue不能上升 但是根据B选项,因为公司price下降了,所以retail cost 也得以下降~而导致total cost是下降的(manuafacturing cost+marketing cost)~所以公司的revenue也应该是上升的呀~

怎么排除B选项呢?

B选项实际上support了profit会下降 题目里说,主要是因为不能再bring down the cost of manufacturing, 才导致revenue不能上升 (revenue=cost+profit(我刚刚也求助了一道类似的题才被NN提醒过TAT)=salesXprice revenue 题目说尽管sales上升但是由于竞争price下降所以revenue没有增加 而又不能降低cost所以profit下降→ the Ink Jet Division must be providing the company with much smaller than it used to)
total cost是(manuafacturing cost+marketing cost) YES
