终于看到800分的奇人了

昨天到BW的论坛上转了转。真发现了一个考800分的神。起因是有人讨论虽然OG上写单项满分是60，但应该没有人在单项上超过51的。结果这位大仙就冒出来了，以自己的成绩51/51，充分证明了确实不存在51以上的成绩。紧接着有冒出几个780的散仙，遗憾的表示虽然自己VERBAL部分达到51，但数学只有50，最后委委屈屈的接受了780的成绩。

狂汗，问题不在于数学有多高，这个VERBAL51太吓人了。原以为达到40就挺不错了。敢情在高人眼中只算个零。

I don't think he is a god. It's not a big surprise if a English native speaker got a 800 score. Image if we take the test in Chinese, most of us can get a score of 750 or higer, and get a 40 or 50 in verbal is just a piece of cake.

As long as your GMAT score is above 750, you are already in a very good shape. Why shoot for 800? I got 760 the first time I took the exam. I will never take the exam again. Not because I can't reach 800, but because that it's not worth it. The admcom may think that you have a problem with prioritizing since they clearly told applicants that other aspects of application are in many ways much more important than GMAT. By the way, did you know that Stanford rejected all the 800 applicants this year without even offering them an interview invitation? I think there are about five or four of them applied to Stanford, but none was invited for interview.

                 我相信大家都知道侃大山和正式讨论问题的区别，没必要把话题搞得如此严肃吧？难道看到800分惊叹一下，也不可以吗？相信大家不会都傻到非800不可的程度，我740，虽然照您的水平还差老大一截，也不想再考了－－谁都知道GMAT不是全部，用不着别人指点。

                 就算STANFORD拒了800分的申请者，那又怎么样？谁都知道MBA申请是一个综合的考虑。我从来没说过800分一定会上STANFORD。但我也相信STANFORD拒他们不会是因为他们考了800分。不管怎样，800分的成绩都是惊人的，也能给你的申请增加份量，虽然800分不能保证什么。

             顺便说一句，既然您不准备再考了，也就无从证明您是否真的能考800分，这种没有证据支撑的话希望您以后还是少说为妙。

chill. Good luck on your application.

我从没有显示的意思。我觉得我只是想告知大家有信心，不要为GMAT太担心。而且上了750，水平上不一定就比英文本语的老外差。我相信众多的中国申请者中，如果用时间将英文提到一定水平，要800决不是不可能。我相信中国人的智慧，不愿同人为老美的800而惊叹。

另一面上讲，如果你仔细读我给你的留言，完全是一点我的个人建议，对你的语言没有任何意见，也没有对你指指点点。但不知你为何这么容易动气？

放心，我以后一定不再发言了。

考800是够牛的,我还记得前年暑假我在北京报名上GRE的时候有个男生在那里填表,就是XDF学员成绩超过2200大概有不同级别的奖励,我看他在纸上写了个23**我马上上上下下看了看他,等他走了我发现敢在那个本本上报分的没有低的.
