大家好，我是Lin, 在纽约圣约翰大学St. John's University研究生商学院招生办工作。今天来这里主要是给申请精算专业的学生说说我们学校的这个专业。这个专业是位于我们商学院的Risk School下面的一个专业，因为这个学院校友资源强大，所以有大量资金去发放给我们的国际学生，奖学金从5000，10000，到全额奖学金不等，不需要申请者额外申请，当我们招生官审理到您的case，如果觉得您是优秀的申请者，奖学金我们就会自动发放。而且，只要申请者在研究生开学的第一个学期前考出EXAM P, 我们会自动奖励每个录取的学生1万美金的奖学金，作为鼓励大家的奖学金。
大家可能会好奇什么样的学生满足奖学金申请要求，是A+的全能学生吗？在这里，我想说，成绩固然重要比如GPA 3.5+, GMAT630+, 但是这里我们并没有一个固定的标准，这仅仅反映申请者的一部分，如果您的GPA低于3.5，GMAT低于630，就没有优势申请奖学金了吗？答案是否定的。我们需要看到的是申请者的整个的package，您的过往经历，学术背景，工作背景，您自己的故事。而并不是单单的成绩。

St. John’s full-time, 18-month program encompasses everything an aspiring actuarial science student needs to advance his or her career, including:

· A curriculum that prepares students to pass most exams and VEE credits required to attain Associateship of both Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society.

The MS in Actuarial Science at St. John’s:

· awards the St. John's Actuarial Promise Scholarship for $10,000 to all students who have passed Exam P prior to matriculation into the degree program

· provides exam registration fee reimbursement for all SOA and CAS actuarial science professional exams passed during the program.
