有UI的前辈吗？

请问有去University of Illinois Urbana Champaign的前辈吗？

或者了解这个学校商学院的前辈吗？

我想申它的marketing方向。

但是对这个学校几乎不了解，前辈能帮我介绍一下这个学校的大概情况吗？？

a prof from ui will lecture in our university in july (i am not sure because i heard that).

if it is ture i have an opportunity to talk with him, and i should do some preparation for the talk.

however this is the first time i talk phd application with a foreign university professor,

so could you give me some advices about the talk, any kind of advice.

all of the advices i would appreciate seriously!!!

the situation is that:

the prefessor is a faulty in marketing which is the major i want to apply

and his research area is game theory application in marketing, which is different from mine.

i focus on the e-business empirical reseach, additionally i do some mathematical models applied in e-business.

until now, i have more than 10 papers been accepted or published, including 4 chinese papers and 7 english papers ( but in low quality).

and i am interesting in UI, and it is a good opportunity to talk with an ui professor.

however, i am not good in talk or communication, i really worry that i will act poorly in the talk....

based on my situation, what kind of questions i could ask the professor, which will be helpful to my application.

after all he is busy man, i could not take much of his time.

oral english is a less serious problem.

but i am confused that why working experience is their perference???

in my memory, working experience exerts insignificantly influence on marketing phd application， am i wrong??

It is simple -- the more foundamental the program is,the less working experience it requries; vice versa.

Talk about one or two paper he published or one or two things you did is relevant, briefly; besides, you can simply ask for info of the school, life, city etc, no prof will refused to provide such kinda information as far as I know.

If you have time, read one or two books about picking up girls, there are some strategies and physological tips for communication - how to attract attention within like 5 mins; and you can recycle that for a better adult life in UIUC

BUT, the key book for guys is the one from mysterious man called 'the Game', classic entry level

ppl should social, b-school doesnt need nerdy phds, let's party
