it depends on the requirements of different schools. Often, most of the BS can evaluate your application without it and it would not negative your application, but i think offers can not be issued without it. So, to contact your applied schools is recommended.

绝大多数学校只是在开I-20时才要. 可以不必理它. 具体学校还要看具体的要求

I also apply to Marshall. Is it possible to submit only the financial statement form with bank's chop, instead of the formal bank affidavit?
