No doubt the demand for accountants from big4 or national firms are still relatvely high even with the economy are turning into recession. It's still very hard for international students to find sponsorship in accounting. Among all my friends, only 2 out of 15 international students got full time offers. One of them went to U Texas and the other one graduated from UIUC. If you don't have a green card or other working permit and not enrolled in a top schools, your chance of getting an accounting job here is slim to none.
