以下是引用VCVE在2008-1-9 11:13:00的发言:thx Adagio~ If I register now, it's only cost me $39 since I am a fourth year student in Canada. btw, do u think US CMA is useful in Canada when u were looking for jobs? In Canada, of course, its own CMA is more recognized, although Canada CMA and US CMA basically cover similar copics. When I took Part 4 in Canada, the staff in Prometric testing center seemed having not heard about this exam before, and spent quite some time looking for the testing requirement. In Canada, basically, CGA/CA/Canada CMA is widely recognized. For the sake of enhancing professional knowledge, I personally feel either CMA will help. For the purpose of looking for a job in Canada, if you have been physically located in Canada, but take US CMA, it looks quite weired in your potential emplopyers' eyes, and be prepared to explain why you want to take US CMA, instead of the local one (I have been asked this Q every time others got to know I am a US CMA). Since it is said Canada CMA is more difficult than its US' counterpart, people may think you are taking the shortcut to earn this designation. But of course, a designation will definitely put you at an advantage when you do your job hunting. It is always better than none. |
