关于STANFORD ESSAY的页数

1. 学校说建议ESSAY 1: 3页，ESSAY 2: 2页，ESSY 3&4: 各1页。但同时也说具体各个ESSAY的页数可以适当调整，只要总页数不超过7页即可。但学校在线申请系统，ESSAY1单独提交，ESSAY 2单独提交，ESSY 3&4一起提交。我做完所有的操作后，最终提交前，预览，发现ESSAY 1不满3页的空间，并没有被ESSAY 占，也就是说:ESSAY单独开始，ESSAY2 单独开始，ESSAY 3&4单独开始，这样所谓充分利用7页的空间就没法显现出来了，至少在显示上是这样。

2.STANFORD在编辑ESSAY时，要求： NUMBER ALL PAGES，是否就是要求ESSAY的每个文档都要插入页码呀？这样的话，因为系统最终是把所有的文件汇集成一个文件，有自己的页码（大概总共20多页），这样在ESSAY这个部分，这几页有单独有自己的页码，而且还不是4篇ESSAY进行统一编码（例如1－7），而是4篇ESSAY由于是分成3个文档UPLOAD的，所以就有（假设）1－3， 1－2， 1－2三次的编码。这样感觉很乱呀。

除非两个半页是独立的，倒是可能是8页

即2.5页占3页的纸头

Your answers for all three essay questions must not exceed 7 pages in total.

You may submit 8 or more pages as long as the actual essay text would occupy no more than 7 pages.

Each of you has your own story to tell, so you may allocate these 7 pages among the essays in the way that is most effective for you.

Below are some guidelines but you may write as much or as little as you like on any question as long as you do not exceed 7 pages total (see illustration below).

Essay A: 3 pages
Essay B: 2 pages
Essay C: 1 page each
Use a 12-point font, double spaced, and make sure it is easy to read.
Indicate which essay question you are answering at the top of each page.
Number all pages.
After you upload your documents to your application, preview each document to ensure that the formatting is true to the original.
Save a copy of your essays.

但问题是：
现在4篇ESSAY，要分成3个文档提交，所以如若:NUMBER ALL PAGES，就会出现3个编续： 1-X， 1－X，1－X，因为不是把所有的ESSAY都编辑在一个文档（如若是编在一个文档的话，很容易一个编续1－－X）。三个文档提交完，真正一块出现实在最后所有材料汇总的PDF文档，才会出现 crazecat123展示的那样几个页面排列。但此时，申请人是无法再对PAGE进行NUMBER了。

很是困惑！

Actually it dosen't matter how u numbered your essay. I suggest u just try uplaoding your files through the on-line application. If the system takes it, u didn't exceed the page limit.
