In this argument, the author recommends that in Olympic Foods, the costs of processing food go down due to the imporved working efficiency and thus will enable the organization to minimize cost and maximize profits. The recommendation is based on the comparsion with the cost - going down in the color film processing industry. At the first glance, the recommendation sounds reasonable in some respects. However, if we take a futher look into the arguement, it obviously reveals some fatal fallacies that are called into question.

For one thing, the author commits a fallacy of casual oversimplication in concluding that it is organizations' ability to do things better that leads to the lowering of the cost. Apart from the improvement of working efficiency, there are other factors might be important in determining the phenomena, such as the cutting cost of raw materials in market. Unfortunately, the author fails to make it clear that organiations learn how to do things better is the only reason why the cost of processing go down.

For another, the arguement rests the conclusion on the unsupportive assumption that food processing industry is analogous to the color-film industry. Admittedly, there are might be some points of comparison between food processing and color-film processing. But in most of aspects, they are different especially in regards of processing techniques or materials. Moreover, other factors besides higher efficency is probably leads to the success of the color-film industry. Among them, say the demand and supply in market. So what applies well to color-film making processing industry will not necessarily apply to food proccessing industry. In consideration of the limited evidence, the conclusion is unwarranted.

To sum up, the argument is not well reasoned. To make it logically acceptable, the author should supply more specific information in evaluating different factors that contributes the going down of cost in food processing industry. Meanwhile, it is necessary for the author to raise evidences to support that food processing and color-film processing are comparable to each other in how to minimize costs and maximize profits.
