97.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Teachers should be paid according to how much therir students learn.Give specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

With the advances brought by the twentieth century,human lives have changed dramatically.They never need to worry about the shortage of daily necessities any more.Instead,more and more emphasises are placed on the teaching quality.That is to say,they hold the opinion of teachers should be paid according to how much the students learn.As for me,from a objective perspective point,I oppose to this statement.My arguments for this point are listed as follows:

   To begin with,we should not take it for granted that those who are instructed by model teachers will natually be top students.It,to a great extent,lies in the student himself.Just think of a pupil,who is reluctantly retaining in the class,keeps thinking of things like who will win the NBA championship, which film produced by Hollywood will first show lately.Although it seems that he has been studying in the classroom,he focus his minds entirely on other things that have nothing to do with the course.Namely,he turns a deaf ear to the teachers' lecture.Being a student like this,it is next to impossible to gain excellent results.Therefore,it is neither fair nor reasonable to give teachers the so-called deserved reward if these students are considered.

    In addition,it is true that teachers ought to teach students some knowledge,such abstract subjuects as history,philosophy,fundamental mathematics,which could be rated by test scores.However,you can not ignore the significant part that teachers act in the process of students' development,such as exploring students' talent on music,painting and act.Besides,they also served as models for responsible adulthood when you do not know how to behave in society.Under the guidence of them,you set up long-term goals and make every effort to achieve them.All of these will contribute directly to a meaningful,perfect and complete life,yet which,unfortunately,can not only measured by marks of tests.

    From what has been discussed above,we can safely come to the conclusion that teachers should be given credit not only for instructing student the key elements of the book knowledge,but also for motivating the students true talent and interst.
