A rough look at the course of the development of the world will leave us quite taken aback by its rapid advancement. This rocketing change has dramatically facilitated our lives and brought a multitude of joys to us. Currently, people are arguing that whether in the following two decades a more comfortable life will bosom.  From my perspective, our spare time will be more leisure, while our working time will be more stressful.

On one hand, thanks to the significant progress, we are highly likely to benefit a great deal in our spare time. Since now, we have enjoyed, to a large extent, from numerous inventions, say, air-conditioner, Internet, automobiles, and robots, people are positive that in the near future more “luxuries” would satisfy their needs. Moreover, it is reasonable for us to envision that cancer will be curable, outer space be ascendable for all human, and odor be transported by Internet. Life seems to be unimaginably cozy in front of us.

On the other hand, we may also suffer a lot in the next twenty years. The fast growth of population, the shortage of resources due to the severe exploitation, and the even the flourish of knowledge required by a certain career will all render us tired and desperate. Therefore, we possibly would compete for living room and jobs, and feeling stressful constantly. At that time, we are so busy tackling these roadblocks in our life that we barely have any attention to appreciate life itself.

All in all, our future life in the next two decades may bring both leisure and troublesome to us. Consequently, it is hard to say whether we have more comfort in our overall life at that time. Maybe the word “bittersweet” will perfectly describe it.
