5．19 机经

9点到考场，检查证件，抄誓词。然后，照相，排座位。

9点30开始考试，第一篇阅读，20分钟，关于pest& pesticides 首先讲美国某个地方的农民用a mix of sulfur（硫磺＋？）杀死害虫，时间长了，出现抗药性，然后又分别提出几位科学家及其所作的试验，又说在19――年，发现了DDT，开始也很好用，又多种优点，随后也出现了抗药性。。。

第二，三篇阅读：微生物，说到了spontaneous generation ,life emerge from non-living cells

多个科学家作了试验，最后又一个科学家end the debate，发现air is the agent，空气中本又有一种living micro-organ等等

美国早期silent movie development, 19^th movie focused on story telling 随之需要一批技术,i.e. editing lighting etc还要注意观众的感受，电影不是为导演一个人拍的，还出现了字幕，psychology of character

听力遇到加试，有点记不住了，而且觉得机经对大家作用也不大
  觉得conversation根自己平时的发挥一样，不难，讲座要防止走神，太长了

口语：  作听力时听见了别人的口语，推测题目，成功

3．  取消老师办公室答疑时间，问女生看法，1 有些问题邮件不好说  2 约教授来谈，但小问题不好意思麻烦教授

    听力：

1．  Predators 根本不leap 而是直接put down onto the ground

2．  Pursue one directly , regardless of the solid color  （没太听好，有疑问）

3．  Zebra are animals which are noisy and like standing in the open areas,不需要保护色
