Tuition fees

Tuition fees for the class commencing September 2006 are £41,970 (This covers the full 15-21 months of tuition).

Fees include tuition, course materials, configuration of personal laptop computers (which meet the School's specification), and a contribution to the London Business School Students' Association. The fee does not include living expenses which vary according to your circumstances and lifestyle (See table below).

Payment of fees

If you are offered a place on the MBA Programme you will be given a specific date by which you should respond and pay a non-refundable Commitment fee of £1,500 should you decide to accept your offer. Students commencing the Programme in 2006 will also need to pay their non-refundable Reservation Fee of £6,000 by 16 June 2006, (for applicants from Stages 1-3) and 14 July 2006, (for applicants from Stage 4). Both the Commitment and Reservation Fees will be deducted from the total tuition fee liability.

Estimated living expenses

To help you estimate the financial obligations required to attend London Business School, the following annual budget is provided.  The figures were taken from a survey of recent MBAs.  From the figures shown you will see that the level of expenditure incurred depends greatly upon lifestyle.

Monthly Spend (GBP) Middle 80% Average
Food & Accommodation 588 - 2,181 1,347
Other Expenses 70 - 585 295
Total Monthly 658 - 2,766 1,642
Annual spend (GBP)
Books 26 - 500 254
School trips / Travel home 0 - 3,500 1,240
Total annual ad hoc expenditure 926 - 6,000 2,842

Most of the top-10 will cost you $120K.

UC-Berkeley is public school, thus the tuition is a little bit cheaper. But if you are California resident, then you can save a lot: $24K Haas vs. $35K-$42K other private schools per year.

Criteria to be considered CA resident: 1. US citizen or Permanent Resident, 2. lived in CA in the last 12 months.
