More and more are choosing to attend post-sec study nowadays. However, if you are planning to attend post-sec study, have you ever asked yourself why? Why don’t you just find a job and start the rest of your life. Why do I want to continue my post-sec, is it worthwhile, or is it just a waste of time? The reasons why people attend post-sec are complex. Here are some reasons of attending post-sec. First, people attend post-sec because they need post-sec study to make them a brilliant future. Almost all the people need jobs, and jobs are clarified by different kinds of areas such as business, engineering, dentist and so on, they are high-paid jobs, and of course, there are some low-paid jobs as well, examples are fast-food restaurants , sanitation, waiters and so on. Nobody wants low-paid jobs, but how can they get into the areas that are high-paid, they are really competitive. So in order to achieve this goal, people choose to attend post-sec, because post-sec covers all kinds of areas that you want to do in the future. It can make you qualify for the jobs. Consequently, after they graduate, they make tremendous amounts of money according to the statistics. In contrast ,for the people who do not attend post-sec, they make very little money. For example, a businessman who has been highly educated and a waiter who has never attended school are competing for the manager of a company, if I am the boss, I will definitely choose the first one, because that is the simple logic. The company needs skilled people Second, people attend post-sec because they want to strengthen their education, so what I mean by the statement is that they are anxious to learn more knowledge or technique not for any other purposes just for strengthening their brains. In China, which is my country, there is a good saying “knowledge is power.” , and it is very objective, because it correctly states the reality of the world, poor countries’ people always have poor knowledge.. That is why students in china are working so hard and why they are choosing to attend post-sec. Regular school is not enough for them. They treat post-sec as “power” as well as a valuable experience. Last but not least , people attend post-sec because of parents’ forcing. In China, not all the students want to attend post-sec, but their parents will have the same goal which is to make their kids continue post-sec no matter how much they and their kids sacrifice. For example, some kids in china always study till midnight and do not have any break, they have lots of pressure from their parents ,and if the kids do not get good marks or mess up their exams, their parents will be going insane, the result of that is very sad, some kids can not go out to play anything except for normal school. This is another crucial point for so many people to attend post-sec. In conclusion, most people who want to attend post-sec is because they want a brilliant future as well as some other factors such as parents’ forces and the strong desire for knowledge. |
