(A) triangular in shape
(B) their shape is triangular
(C) they have a triangular shape
(D) triangular shape

答案是A. 我选D. 我总觉得应该是 in triangular shape 这种用法. 哪位能解释一下这个用法? 是不是in shape修饰 triangular?

d选项的中心词是shape，按照句意中心词应为triangular形容词，是对areas的说明。


2.  In addition to appropriating (A) the subject matter (B) of mass culture, the pop art movement of the 1950’s utilized (C) various technique (D) of mass production.

答案D, 我选B. 这题我犹豫了好久, 我觉得 technique是抽象名词, 是单复数同形. 可答案选D确意味着这里应该改为 techniques .  

请大家确认一下, 到底 technique 的复数要不要加 s?

是的。此处应该不是抽象名词了。
3. Due to (A) persistent inbreeding, self-pollinating plants have (B) genetically more uniform than cross-pollinated plants, which (C) harbor more genetic variability (D).

答案B, 我选D.  我觉得D应该改为variabilities.
请问 variability是不是单复数同形?  如果是的话, 那么上面的第2题D为什么错呢?
既然答案选B, 我想是不是B应该改为 are?  从意思上来看应该是这样的, … plants are … more uniform than … plants …


variability是抽象名词。b不对是因为uniform是形容词作表语需要be动词。
