自我感觉问题:1. 规定时间字数总不够; 2. 足够时间感觉思路经常两个推理线并存,清晰逻辑思路整理慢,如何克服? Argument: Centralization and profitabilityEFT;">Thefollowing appeared in a memorandum from the business department ofthe Apogee company. EFT;"> “Whenthe Apogee Company had all its operations in one location, it wasmore profitable than it is today. Therefore, the Apogee Companyshould close down its field offices and conduct all its operationsfrom a single location. Such centralization would improveprofitability by cutting costs and helping the company maintainbetter supervision of all employees.” EFT;">EFT;">Citingthe facts that the Apogee company profited from its operations in onelocation, the arguer draws a conclusion that the Apogee companyshould take centralization policy to improve profit. Conspicuously, there are several flaws. I shall give the reasons later to dig themout. EFT;">Firstly, the line of reasoning is vulnerable due to inadequacy and partiality. The author assumes that centralization can be the correct profitablepolicy just by cutting costs and streamlining supervision ofemployees. These two assumptions have never been supported with anydata or projections. Moreover, the assumption fails to take intoaccount cost increases and inefficiency that could result fromcentralization. For example, one one hand, the author didn't tellthat the profitable location was attained either by cutting costs orby maintaining better supervision. One the other hand, it isimprudent to judge that centralization would help the companymaintain better supervision of all employees. For example, nowadays, network is very important. More and more business company take fulluse of netowrk advantages to win the market. On the other hand, almost all of employees in the company would take the high priorityfor network choice. These exist many strong competitors who win thebig market just by network communications around the world. On theother hand, there are other possible strategies to reach profit goalbesides the two factors mentioned above. It is enrirely possible thatmanagement has become lax regarding any number of factors that canaffect the bottom line such as inferior products, careless productpricing, inefficient production, and poor employee expense accountmonitoring, etc. EFT;">Secondly, the adjudgement that Apogee could be more profitable when it hadoperated from a single, centralized location is not accurate. Thesuccess of one centralized location couldn't exemplify the generalrule. For example, many international companies would like to seekcooperation with local government to invent many methods forprofitability because local culture is vital for indigenous marketsuccess. It is high risk that centralization takes place ofinternational policy. EFT;">Thirdly,if the arguer gave the conclusion that some sites wouldcentralization policy, this argument would become reasonablyacceptable. The arguer provides more information with regard to onelocation to strenghen the centralization success to make thisargument more convincing. EFT;">Theargument provides the false information, which leads to vulnerableresults for profitable strategy. To make it more insightful, thearguer need to not only provide data-oriented analysis forcost-cutting and supervision factors but also select other types ofreasons supporting the feasibility of centralization policy. Onlywith these enough evidences, could this argument become morepersuasive. EFT;">
