I'm now working for a major software house just like M$ or oracle as a technolgy guy although my title is consultant.I don't see much future as an engineer or consultant in this area. Even though, you're promoted to be a team lead after several working years.
how do you think of pursuing an MBA degree for a career shift?
there are many people of similar background in business schools. if you can connect your software experience with your future job, then you should have great advantage. e.g. if you are developing software for derivatives in investment bank, then it's possible to join investment bank after graduation; if you are developing software not related to finance, then you can say you are strong in quantitative skills.
