usually, top 20 means 23 to 25 schools which have been in the spots by some ranking systems such as BW. The same could apply to top 15 (17 to 18 schools),top 10, top 5 and so on.
For top20 (based on consistency in BW), Emory should not be a firm one since it has been ranked only 3 times (28th, 22nd, 20th).I am simply talking about the numbers here.Purdue has been with top20-30 spots for five times, and it's not a top20 either (but 20th once). Indiana, however, has been always (except in 1998) ranked among top20, at least by BW.Yale's rankings has not been consistent either, but four times among top20, and it's reputation is just too strong to ingore, right? Don't forget that Wash U. also has been among top20 three times.Vanderbilt's been there once, Rochester twice, and this can go on an on, not to even mention other rankings, hehe. |
