Personally I think the keys to AWA are: structure, correct grammar, and examples. Structure is what you have to remember: starting paragraph and starting sentence in each paragraph; words that can be used (e.g. consequently, subsequently, moreover, etc.); summary paragraph.  You always need to pay attention to punctuation and forms of verbs, etc. Make up some examples. Practice.
