In the united states, injuries to passengers involved in automobile accidents are typically more severe than in Europe, where lwas require a different kind of safety belt. It is clear from this that the united states needs to adopt more stringent standards for safety belt design to protect automobile passengers better.

Each of the following, if true, weakens the argument above EXCEPT:
(a) Europeans are more likely to wear safety belts than are people in the United States
(b)....
...
(d)Automobile passengers in the United States have a greater statistical chance of being involved in an accident than do passengers in Europe.

答案是d，可是我怎么也看不明白，为什么d就不weaken了呢？
美国车祸的概率高，所以车祸的人也多，和保险带没啥关系，不正好weaken么？

weakens the argument above EXCEPT:实际上是让你选择下面哪项支持这个argument.

美国车祸的概率高，所以车祸的人也多,所以才更需要制定严格的safe belt制度。从而支持这个argument---〉weakens the argument above EXCEPT

坐逻辑题时，有时换个角度会容易许多。

这种观点是不对的！！

not weaken并不一定就是support呀！
正如RC中很多取非的思路，就是加上not！！并不是中文意思中，正反意词的概念呀！

not weaken也有可能是和原文无关的选项，比如该题的d！
和原文根本没有任何关系！
他只是说了：

美国车祸的概率高，所以车祸的人也多

但他并没有告诉你，和保险带是否有关呀？
你可以再加一个，就是因为保险带的原因，那就是support，你也可以加上，和保险带无关，那就是weaken呀！！

同意，但是总觉得采用这种做法不是很sure。我总觉得：选项是否无关，说起来简单，但操作起来难，经常将正确选项当作无关选项给排除了。谢谢八戒的批评指正.
