?? ?? ??@@@@@@@I post here again in case some friends couldn't see. ?? ??1.Basically,rule of thumb, Do NOT Sponsor. ??2.Yes they did for some. Especially DT. And I also got 2 friends from Cal State who went to EY and PwC. I never said NO F-1 can every make it! But if you look at case by case carefully, and if you have time, do a background check on them, and conduct a research, I guess that will be more helpfuf to all of us. ??3.Who finally got sponsored? experienced, exceptional students. ??4. Why in some area, sometimes, Big 4s do sponsor, some do not? Well, that's what they do and that's what they need. You can never figure this out and don't need to figure. Just try your best. So don't wast time argue with me who and who got sponsored finally. Because personally I already know. One classic story is that, one of my Korea F-1 classmates, lowsy English communication ability - really, really lousy!! Nobody, nobody thinks he will go to big 4, And he DID go to PwC. Reason? he got CPA in Korea. ??5. About USC. What can I say, I am from USC, so I won't say that USC MAcc is bad. But maybe USC is not the best for you. I will say UT Austin is very good, UIUC is also very good, depending on your personal preference and actual needs. Hey, tell you guys, I was rejected by Austin years ago,so I think Ausin must be very good, ha, just flatter myself. ??6.USC tuition is VERY expensive. I paid about $42000 totally just for the tuition, exclusive of other damn expensive books, very expensive living cost in downtown, which is a very very dangerous and shitty place, etc. ??7.If you can get an offer from Austin, I assume you are good enough also be able to go to USC. ??8. There is $$ scholarship for Citizens and Green Card Holders. My true story: I got 770 on GMAT, 3.9 GPA. but no $ for me. One of my classmates, 620 GMAT, 3.2 GPA, got 1/3 waiver of tuition. Later what I was told was that no $ for F-1. Well, maybe there is exception too, but as far as I know, no F-1 ever got it. All and All, it is NOT an academic education. It is a professional training. So don't expect anything. ??Finally, If you are not an accounting undergraduate, DO NOT go to USC! The madatory summer intensive program will kill you and knock your GPA down. Summer Intensive accounts for 1/3 of the length of the whole program (45 units). It is only 45 days long, worth 15 units, and taught 2 intermediate accountings, 1 audit, 1 tax, 1 advanced accounting, Monday through Saturday, Morning through evening. Endless homework and crazy design of the learning process. I slept on average 4 hours per day during my summer intensive. And the most important thing is that after that, when fall semester starts, the summer GPA you just got will appear on your resume for the BIG 4 recruiting process. It's not fair for many students who just made a B or B+.
