Money is considered the most important factor in choosing a career. The conclusion can be supported by the fact that the higher the salary is, the more candidates are there competing for the job. However, I am afraid that I do not agree the claim that financial gain should be the most important factor in choosing a career because of the following reasons.

In the first place, a high short-term salary does not mean a high pay in the long time period. In the contrary, many jobs with a low threshold salary may have a wonderful future. Working in such companies, employees may have many opportunities to take some training courses and further study. After they have such education and work experience, these trained employees will get a higher salary when moving to another company. For example, some famous companies have the trainee programs in which employees may have not very high salaries. But after finishing the programs, employees will be paid more, even if they remain working in the companies.

At the second place, people intend to not only earn money to survive, but also gain respect from others to satisfy the honorship. If people do some illegal work such as trading illegal drugs and illegal weapons. It is sure that doing such business can earn a huge mount of money. But everyone in the society are disgusted with such work and with the people who are involved in these businesses. In the contrast, the workers working in the public service sections cannot earn so much money, but they are respected by most people in the society.

这段感觉说的也不够充分，应该在说，那些illegal trader 每天都提心吊胆的过日子，而且知道自己虽然有钱却不敢放肆的花，知道自己被别人所不齿，心里未必开心，生活未必舒服，as everyone known ,every body wants to have a respectful live among people.而那些society worker 却很开心，幸福。所以有钱不一定幸福，不一定被别人尊敬。

Finally, the factor that is also important in choosing a career is whether people are interested in the jobs. Although the salaries of the jobs which are not suit some people are high, this group of people will feel very uncomfortable when getting down to work. Therefore, personal interest is more crucial in selecting jobs.

这个therefore来的不太顺，感觉还没有说完，应该继续说this group of people will feel very uncomfortable when getting down to work,then they may not do their works well,furthermore ,their bosses may dismiss them for their poor performance.That is to say, if a person apply to a job just for high salary provided by the job and do not like the job at all,he or she ultimately will resign the job or be fired,so he or she can not pocess the high salary job for a very long time ,and  can not earn a high salary permanently.However,if a person have interest in doing his or her job,he or she is eager to do that job well ,so the performance must be outstanding ,at least he or she is willing to work hard.The day that his or her boss found his or her great performance will definitely come.So the salary will definitely be lifted up.Therefore,personal interest is more crucial than hihg salary in selecting jobs.

应该说明如果不是因为兴趣而只是因为高工资会有什么bad effect,然后说明有兴趣后同样会导致高工资，这样正反两面说，第一，会比较有说服力，第二，字数也不知不觉就上去了。
