好像是说一个公司有两个部门，在过去的三年中，其中的一个harmmaceuticals部门每年都卖出公司总sales的20%，产生的利润却是公司总利润的40%；而另一个chemicals部每年卖出80%的sales,产生60%的利润。for the balance的意思可能就是说完成了差额。

consistency应该怎么解释呢？我开始还以为是两个部门表现一致呢。
