答案选A没有问题。只是不太懂选项C的解释说there is still possibility that the only person aware that a fire has started near an alarm box but lacks access to a telephone. 题干中不是都说了virtually everyone has access to a private phone, 怎么还会有人lack access to a telephone呢

顶起来！这道题我也觉得og解释不对，因为人人有手机就是拆掉box的前提条件，觉得不能反驳，个人认为应该是C没有A好，A支持了两方面，C只说了因为有手机所以不会妨碍人们报警但没说关于假警报的问题。求NN指导！

我觉得virtually不能等同于全都有，还是可能有个别人没有的。而且我觉得private telephone不是指手机，而是指私人电话。手机是cellphone或者mobile phone.

一家之言。我认为这道题之所以C不对A对是因为A能够缩小private phone和alarm boxes之间的差别。
private call和alarm boxes之间的差别就在于alarm boxes是固定的，而且应该是与相关部门的系统相连的，所以alarm boxes的好处就在于能够迅速定位火情。通过A选项，我们知道private telephone也能够起到相同的作用——因为就像alarm boxes一样，fire department 也可以对它定位追踪。这样一来fire alarm boxes的优势就不存在了，能够支持remove boxes的proposal。

C的话nature and size不是private call和alarm boxes的本质区别，所以还是A最好。

这种题目是实质上是比较alarm boxes和private telephone，想要support其中一方就要把两者之间的差别缩小。

还是会有人在目睹火灾时虽然靠近fire box但却没有电话，what？？（黑人问号）

我觉得这个选项的解释不对。因为按照这个解释，A也没强调如何解决没有手机的问题。那这道题岂不是没有正确选项？不选C的解释你的楼上的前辈解释得挺清楚的。Ron说OG的出题人都是高手中的高高手，但写答案的人水平就一般了。

哈哈哈昨天我还在想要不要一字一句研究CR答案，但发现好多文不对题，原来出题人和写答案的人不是同一个啊，也怪不得，辛苦他们给每一个选项都编出个道理了?
