看了它的解释，说是代词it指带问题，这里的it是指condition吗？

这题考的是indicate that 后面的从句正确与否。c : it(the condition) is present when it(the condition) is not (present).

bigmouse,我觉得这题的考点在于,同一个名词就用一个代名词指代,清楚俐落.
所以ab都不选,因为 it 和 one 都是指condition.

我觉得有it来指代在这里比one要清楚。ETS好像不是很喜欢用one来指代前面的名词，因为太vague。这样就排除了A和B。而its presence不如动词present干净明白，而且用在这里和前面的is present结构不对等，所以排除D和E。

其实will fail to detect a condition when...and indicate sth when... 我感觉更对称一些.

我想indicate its presence 不如indicate that it is present 是因为最后的 when it is not 后承前省略了present, 用indicate that it is present when it is not 比较通.
