Manager:the new manufacturing process should save us time overall,even though the first step of the five-step process will take twice as long as it does under the old process.Under the new process,far fewer of the components will be found defective,and the sole pupose of stemps two and three under the old process is to weed out defective components. As a result,we should be able to eliminate two of the five steps in the existing manufacturing process

我选的是c，答案是b，我觉得这道题本身很乱，解答告诉我第一句话是本argument的conclusion，我觉得是最后一句啊？？？有没有详细的解答呢？谢谢！

此题的argument是the new manufacturing process should save us time overall。
旧过程：有缺陷，而且第二步骤就是来剔除缺陷的。
新过程：将发现更少的缺陷，且废除第二步，所以删除第二步来节省时间，达到目的。
削弱：是否新的过程引入了新的缺陷，这样既削弱了“更少的缺陷”同时“不能删除第二步”，这样两个理由都否决了。
C说了那些有什么用呢，你怎样证明save time 呢？

这道题说，我们可以通过引用新的方法来节省生产的时间，即使新方法的第一步比旧方法的还要多出一倍的时间。然后他就解释了为什么是这样的结论。
因为新的方法减少了残次品的出现，而旧方法的第二步和第三步就是为了检出残次品的。所以引入新的方法就可以去掉这两步以节省时间。
B选项说新的方法是否引入必须要纠正的缺陷。如果没有引入，那么就可以可以删掉第二步和第三步；而引入了就不能去除这两步，因为还要检出这些残次品，那么也就是说不能节省，反而因为第一步还增加了生产时间。
而C选项和本题无关。你修正残次品和生产时间没有啥关系耶。
