Hello, can anyone help me to answer the RC question of 2015 OG (P 375 )? Thaks a lot!!!!

16. It can be inferred from the passage that the “scholars”mentioned in line 24 believe which of the following tobe true?
(A) Revitalization resulted from the political activismof returning African American soldiers followingthe First World War.
(B) Marcus Garvey had to change a number ofprevailing attitudes in order for his massmovement to find a foothold in the UnitedStates.
(C) The prevailing sensibility of the AfricanAmerican community provided the foundation ofMarcus Garvey’s political appeal.

Why is the answer is B?
Here is the passage,

Some scholars have argued that Garvey createdthe consciousness from which he built, in the1920s, the largest revitalization movement inAfrican American history. But such an argumentonly tends to obscure the consciousness ofidentity, strength, and sense of history that alreadyexisted in the African American community. Garveydid not create this consciousness; rather, he gavethis consciousness its political expression. Is the red part the writer's opinion?

I think the red is the writer's opinion as a general view. In this paragraph, the writer gives readers the reason why he disagrees the traditional point on whether Garvey create consciousness caused the revitalization movement. Apperantely, the writer claims that Garvey never create the consciousness but expressed it in political way.

The question here is to ask which one is the scholors' perspect, so only B is correct. A is irrelevant with scholors' opinion. B is what scholors think about Garvey, "find a foothold" implies that Garvey create the basis of largest revitalization movement by changing the prevailing attitudes. C is exatcly what the writer thinks the truth about Garvey. D and E are both irrelevant with scholors's opinion.
