在大牛眼中，UTD并不是什么好的选择，哪怕是在大多数CDer心中，UTD的定位也或许是”鸡肋鸡肋，食之无味，弃之可惜“
但是UTD在最近几年美国大学的商科ranking中却一直稳稳在TOP50以内，更何况它的”性价比高“是出了名的
要想真的学习、钻研，这里的确是个不错的选择
现在我想告诉你 UTD 还将迎来更好的发展机会
为什么会这么说呢？
因为今天作为UTD的alumni，我收到了一封来自UTD president的信，内容如下：
Dear UT Dallas Alumni,
I’m writing to you today to share some personal news: I’m going to be moving on from UT Dallas to the U. T. System, located in Austin, to help Chancellor Bill McRaven in a new role as Deputy Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for me personally to tackle important higher-education challenges at a broader level. I’ll expect to be back to UTD frequently in this new role and will be a part of helping to further UTD’s progress at a system level.
I cannot begin to fully express the pride and gratitude I feel regarding the privilege of serving as president of your alma mater and representing you and our extraordinarily talented student body to the world. I could not be more proud of the association or more grateful for the opportunity. I’m also pleased to tell you that the system has accepted my recommendation that Dr. Hobson Wildenthal, our Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, be named the interim president. I am leaving the Office of the President at UTD in very capable hands. As many of you know, Dr. Wildenthal has been the architect of the academic excellence that is the cornerstone of UTD’s identity. He will no doubt sustain and even increase our momentum in the months ahead.
My appointment as Deputy Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer of the U. T. System will be effective July 1. Dr. Wildenthal will become Interim President beginning July 1. Within a few weeks, a search committee to recommend candidates for the new President of UT Dallas will be appointed.
As Deputy Chancellor, I will be the second-highest ranking administrator in the U. T. System and will assist in formulation and implementation of the U. T. System’s major goals. As Chief Operating Officer, I will be responsible for personnel and daily functioning of the U. T. System Administration. I am very excited about working closely with Chancellor McRaven. He is an extraordinary leader who is deeply committed to addressing the most significant challenges facing higher education. I believe that my experience can be helpful as we address issues such as improving student success, making important research discoveries, improving the health of Texans, and positively impacting our state. The institutions that comprise the U. T. System – led by our Board of Regents, Chancellor McRaven, and the Presidents of our institutions – are in an ideal position to be leaders in developing solutions. I look forward to becoming part of the team that will tackle these critical challenges at a system- and state-wide level.
UT Dallas is in an excellent position to attract a superb President. The position represents one of the most exciting higher-education leadership opportunities in the nation. I am confident that exceptional candidates will be identified who can lead UT Dallas to outstanding achievements. I look forward to advising on the search process at the U. T. System level.
Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for your support of the university. My time at UTD has been a decade of friendship, collaboration, and shared accomplishment. It’s been pure joy for me. Just the mention of UTD brings a smile, and a strong sense of gratitude for the honor and privilege of working with the UTD family for the past 10 years.

作为deputy chancellor，那就是州立大学系统中一人之下万人之上的人物了
而且President David 赤果果地告诉我们alumni” I’ll expect to be back to UTD frequently in this new role and will be a part of helping to further UTD’s progress at a system level.“
仔细研读下这句话，我们不难发现，UTD马上就会成为U.T.System的亲儿子了，系统资源的倾斜那是肯定的
