Amphibian populations are declining in numbers worldwide. Not coincidentally,the earth's ozone layer has been continuously depleted throughout the last 50 years. Atmospheric ozone blocks UV-B, a type of ultraviolet radiation that is continouly produced by the sun, and which can damage genes. Because Amphibian lack hair, hide, feathers to shield them,they are particularly vunerable to UV-B radiation.In addition, their gelatious eggs lack the protection of leathery of hard shells. Thus, the primary cause of the declining amphibian population is the depletion of the ozone layer.

Each of the following, if true,woule strengthen the argument EXCEPT:
A. OF the various of radiations blocked by atmospheric ozone,UV-B is the only type that can damage genes.

关于这道题的A选项，Bible解释说是irrelevant, 但我觉得这个选项起到了strengthen的作用，原因是它排除了他因他果（只有UV-B会伤害genes)!

如果是唯一一种辐射，那又怎么样呢？可能有其他原因导致Amphibian populations are declining 。要加强就要建立两者之间的联系：Amphibian populations are declining 和the earth's ozone layer has been continuously depleted throughout the last 50 years

只说辐射，或者只说人口减少都不够。
