the anwser is "created", but how about "less than'? degrees is plural, it should use fewer than. can somebody explain to me?

do you mean that when modifying the number, less than or little rather than few is used?

eg: you are taller than me, less than 1cm.

the things compared here are temperature and height, not the degree and cm.

the state of temperature is uncountable.

another example:123 and 1234

we can say:the numers of 123 are fewer than 1234.

but we say: 123 is less than 1234
