Should governments fund scientific researches whose consequences are unclear? The speaker says not, but I don't agree with the speaker. Scientific research is needed in many scientific fields, such as astronomical exploration, chemical experiments and medical researches. And in any of those fields, consequences are all likely to be unclear, and government should also fund on them and support the development of them.

In the realm of astronomy, as we know, the exploration of the cosmos is one of the most unclear things. Lots of scientists are on fire for searcher for creatures on other planets, which have cost quite a lot of money. However, scientists all around the world are also searching for them now and virtually all of them are funded by the governments. Governments do so not because searching for creatures outside the Earth is likely, but the exploration of the cosmos is contributing to the development of many other technologies, although out-of-earth creatures may not be found. For an example of the studies on Mars, one of the reason for explore the Mars is meeting the curiosity of the mass, but more likely is that the exploration of the Mars is also good at the manufacture of rockets, capsules, satellites and so forth. Development of the astronomical equipment is the signal of the ability of a nation and is also a way to solve many problems on the Earth. In this way, governments want to explore the cosmos regardless of the outcome of the activity.

When it comes to chemical experiments, funds for them are even more significant. As we know, results of chemical reactions, especially those of organic substances, are quite unclear, as a consequence of the variety of the way of carbon atoms combine with each other. Furthermore, experiments on many new, rare elements cost a lot of materials. The collisions made by nucleons are rare and many of them are on the probability of less than one zillionth. From my perspective, it is the big profit which will be made by the success of experiments that encourages the governments support those things. As we all know, no one will guarantee that their experiment can be successful and it goes with the willingness of their own. Results can't be known without the outcomes of the experiments coming out. So perseverance on supporting and encouraging those researches both by material and spirit is needed and advisable.

Finally, in the field of medical research, funds are more required than any other field. Health problems are the thing everyone cares, all the way from the birth of the man to the death of him. Some people may say that there are many governments in the world, which are less wealthy, is concentrating on food problems rather than diseases. No doubt that this kind of governments do exists, however, the assumption on which the governments' funding bases is the possibility of the financial supports of the governments, which means those governments' not funding medical research is a result of having no ability to provide such fund rather than the probability of an unclear consequence.

To sum up, governments should fund scientific research no matter the consequences of them are clear or not. If the policy which is referred by the speaker is implemented, the development of the society and technology is significantly impeded. To embody the advisability of a nation's government, funding on medical, chemical, astronomical and many other fields is required. Only by this way can the bright future be at the corner.

恩,确实一开始写的时候没进入状态,有很大问题,多谢辛勤的普渡哥指点~
这句话改为And in those fields, despite the fact that most of the consequences are not able to be clear before conducts of experiments or tests, governments should unhesitatingly fund on them and facilitate the development of them.
如何?

我觉得这个题目,有必要先写,是不是结果不明的研究都应该支持,再就是是不是由政府支持,如果两个杂糅在一起说,不太清晰吧,我觉得
