Insectinfestations in certain cotton-growing regions of the world have causeddramatic increase in the price of cotton on the world market. By contrast, theprice of soybeans has long remained stable. Knowing that cotton plants maturequickly, many soybean growers in Ortovia plan to cease growing soybeans andbeing raising cotton instead, thereby taking advantage of the high price ofcotton to increase their income significantly, at least over the next severalyears.

大多同学都困在D上，我有两个说法，第一个是 COTTON GOODS 不代表COTTON，第二个，COTTON 在原文中应经说事涨价了，就因为涨价才导致这些农咔转移了种植对象，以后他们再涨不涨对农咔来说都是赚的，这也有点SUPPORT 的意思在里面。嘿嘿
