我也发一个教授回复的吧（最近被这个专业录取，3000美元小奖：Yes, there is the possibility of extending the MSE program over two years. This can be done as long as you maintain full-time student status (9 credits per semester). You may apply to other programs after that as well.
MSE students go on to do a number of different things, including working for their family business, getting jobs at big companies, and some start their own businesses. We provide training in order to develop your own business ideas – and to help determine when the time is right to start your own business, not necessarily right after graduation. You will develop a skillset that will be applicable for many different jobs in both the US and China. We have two Chinese students in the program right now; one is going to return to his family business after graduation and the other is looking to start a restaurant at some point. Our Chinese student who graduated returned to China and found a job at a large company (sorry that I can’t remember the name though).
