Education of children has been a heated topic among parents who regard their son or daughter as the future of their family,since school can not only pass knowledge acumulated through hundreds of years but also help them develop ability of mood control ,which has been widely recognized as one of the key reasons of success in children'future life.Thus,it sounds partially understandable to demand parents to volunteer time to children'schools.
Admittedly,parents squeezing some time out of their busy working activities to theirchildren'school may to some extent gain a better understanding about children's learning conditions and performance in class by watching their children how to response to questions raised by teachers in class,with children'performance in class having been long perceived as a vital indicator of future
development.Moreover,attending children'school means more actively close interaction with their teachers ,getting more feedbacks from school.Parents could understand the whole conditions of their children who may act differently from what they do at home .From this point ,volunteering time to school is definitely to parents'good in some way.
However,there is another side we can not ignore when talking about those issues.Firstly,we can not guarenttee all the parents are able to spare some time to children'school,Those whose parents do not accomplish their demands will inevitably feel neglected ,gradually grow more close-minded,eventually develop pschological problems.Secondly,school is a plateform allowing students to learn knowelege , pursue friendship and happiness freely.Parents intefering with children'school life will make students uncomfortable .Students are altered constantly by beliefs that mother is watching on me,consequently influencing deeply their concentration on studying.The intangible restraint imposed by parent'appearance will certainly reduce their happiness durning playing with classmates after class,which in turn affects student' capacity to cope with human relationship.Thirdly,some time will be spent when attending children'school,which could be used to generate fortune for society,at the same time ,to pave their way to promotion in company.
The aim of education is to help students prepare to make contributions to society and form good values,norms that are used to direct them.Though,parents attending could have some positive effect on children'growth,it may be outweighted by the side effects .Thus,in my view,it is not necessary for parents to voluteer time to children'school,of which good effects are shadowed by negative sides 。

Society should make efforts to save endangered species only if the potential extinction of those species is the result of human activities.

At various times in geological pasts ,many species have become extinct due to natural or unnatural reasons.According to the principle of evolution theory given by Darvin,the fittest survive,and those who no longer adapt to the requirements of living conditions will be expelled from biological circle,which have been widely recognized among scientists in terms of explaining those extinctions by non-human behaviors .Extinctions induced by natural selections is thus an spontaneous process, ostensibly out of control of human beings.On the contrary,extinctions caused by unnatural facts such as civilization,
construction of bridges and road are firmly connected to human behaviors.Exploitation of natural resources has become a big threat to world'wildlife.Growing economic development accelebrates extinction to an incredible degree.Because a majority of species live in forests,and because half of these forest are gone.Therefore,protecting species is an urgent and neccessary task we must properly deal with.
As someones argure,a lot of money will be spent ,many jobs cost, if trying to preserve all the species facing severe extinctions resulted from both human interference and invasion of other species,and taking into accout economical level in developing countries,dedicated to improvement of living standards,it is really hard to spare enough money saving endangered species of all kinds.By exaggerating the difficulties we face,a lot people are attracted to back up the idea that society should only protect species whose potential extinction is caused by human activities.
However,ignoring the benefits and merely focusing on the costs is obviously not an scientifically analysical method .We must strike a balance between the positive and nagative sides,only in which a reasonable decision could arrived at as a whole.
Admittedly,the price is high if all the species are saved.However,as long as we leave alone species endangered not by human behavors,the expense would absolutely be much higher than expected.Because species are unique and irresplaceable of evolutions of millions of years,at the same time ,they have imponderable beauty and scientific values ,which can not be simply measured by temporary economical yields at the cost of habitats of species.
And species are like the rivet holding the space and earth togather,destroying them may jeopadize the balance of ecological system.The irreversible loss of biodiversity has a serious impact on the ability of remaining species ,including human beings,to survive.Humans depend on species diversity and healthy ecological systems to provide food,clean waters,and fertile soil for agriculture.In addition ,we benefit great from many medicines and other products that biodiversity provides. Once a sort of species is gone,it would never appear again in most cases,in such a way we would lose a precious treasure.
To sum up,the price our society pays to preserve species threatened by either human behaviors or natural causes would
definitely make sense in the long term.Accepting the potential extinction due to non-human behaviors is short-sighted.
Under no circumstance,should our society only save these species endangered by human hehaviors. |
