Position: NOC Analyst Department: IT Location: Singapore
POSITION SUMMARY:
The NOC Analyst works under the supervision of the NOC Supervisor and has the primary responsibility of monitoring the operation of computer and network equipment and applications to ensure high availability of systems and applications. Upon detection of abnormal situations, the NOC Analyst will evaluate the situation and engage the appropriate IT and Business resources to address the situation.
This role requires a good working knowledge of general purpose computer systems and networks. It also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently as well as the ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues. Strong familiarity with monitoring systems, MS Office and other standard industry applications is important.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITES: Actively monitor computer and network systems using the provided tools. Upon detection of abnormal function, determine the appropriate IT and Business resources and contact them. Open and manage bridge calls as necessary until the issue is resolved. Document all incidents per published procedures. Other duties or ad hoc projects as assigned.

KEY ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIREMENTS:
· Requires 0-3 years experience with Windows (XP or later), Linux or Cisco networking plus other computer technologies
· Working knowledge of industry standard tools and applications (e.g. MS Office, Visio, MS Project)
· Must be able to work in a high-pressure, stressful environment where there is the potential for significant financial impact on the business
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Must display a friendly, professional attitude at all times
· Must remain calm under pressure, be flexible and able to multi-task · Must be organized and thorough, and able to follow-through incidents to completion
