求 OG上的一道数学题

On a recent trip, Cindy drove her car 290 miles, rounded to the nearest 10 miles, and used 12 gallons of gasoline, rounded to the nearest gallon. The actual number of miles per gallon that Cindy's car got on this trip must have been betweenanswer is 285/12.5 and 295/11.5

我不太明白“rounded to the nearest 10 miles” 的意思。如果是四舍五入最接近的10 miles, 那它的范围应该是280－300，但OG上的说285－295，这点不明白。还有，要得到“actual number of miles per gallon” 不是应该 highest miles/highest gallon and lowest miles/lowest gallon吗？为什么OG上是说要highest miles/lowest gallon and lowest miles/highest gallon?

如果说一个数近似到个位那么这个数在小数点后是有位数的就像1.5近似到个位是2
如果近似的十位，那么就是个位上的数四舍五入 15 近似到10位就是20 ； 11近似到10位就是10
这个搞明白了后面的就应该没问题了不知我说清楚了没有

They want a range, meaning you have to try the extreme case to cover all the possibilities.

嗯，这里还要注意一个问题，就是答案不是 between 285/12.4 and 294/11.5。这个问题XDF的老师讲课是讲错的（CD上下载的flash课程里听到，还是08年的课了，可能现在已经改了）。

因为294.9999999999其实也会round down变成290，而12.499999999999也会round down变成12，所以其实答案应该是285/12.5到295/11.5的开区间。

不过老美好像没有注意这个问题，或者他们对于近似的思维方式和咱们不一样？
我估计要是答案里加上between 285/12.4 and 294/11.5会有很多人做错吧，至少中国的学生，从小被教“四舍五入”的会受蒙蔽。
