每周工作20个小时，可不可以不遵守？

找到了一个实习，同时还上课，然后学校说：international学生不能每个礼拜工作大于20个小时。

我就工作38个小时了，他怎么知道？？？？

请问如果每周工作时间超时了，学校会知道么？知道了会有什么后果？

I have heard that if school knows this, you may lose the future opportunity of getting a H-1B Visa. But it depends on which state you work at.
