     It is said in the lecture that those people or animals who seem to be sacrificing their own interests for others' sake virtually gain some advantages rather than receive nothing, which completely reputes the statements in the passage that they are performing altruistic acts.
     According to the lecturer, The sentinel meerkat eat before others rather than have nothing before it goes out as is described in the passage.
     Contrary to the belief in the passage that the guard meerkat places itself in more danger by issuing an alarm and then having to flee alone, the professor says that it is more easily for the sentinel meerkat to escape from the predator, since it detects the danger first and it stands near the burrow.
    In fact, the professor argues, when the meerkats hear the alarm given off by the sentinel, they often either assemble or run in every directions, which draws the predator's attention towards them while the sentinel gets the time to hide itself safely. In contrast, the reading passage believes that the sentinel risks its life to assist the group.
     As to human beings, the lecture also challeges the passage. Although some people donate their organs or something to others in exchange for nothing seemingly, they actually gain some appreciation or acclaim from others as well as sense of self-esteem.
