“Nations should cooperate to develop regulations that limit children’s access to adult material on the Internet.” 国家之间应该合作建立规章制度来限制儿童在网络上获得成人信息。
Internet has been one of the primary resources for people to communicate and get information, however, harmful materials such as pornographically information, violence and indecent materials on the internet are also harmful for us, especially for children who cannot identify between goodness and evil. Therefore it is necessary for nations to cooperate to prevent children being hurt.
In the first place, it is necessary for all the nations to develop regulation to limit children's access to adult materials on the internet. As the rapid development of information technology and globalization, computer science and internet system has been the main access for children to entertainment and study. Admittedly students benefit from internet because they can reach knowledge to meet what they want via the internet, such as they can share study experiences and textbook materials via the internet. Also there are so many video and sound files that are harmful to children, especially for those young children who have no ability to identity whether the materials are suit for them. For these reason, it is the responsibility of the government to control the material on internet therefore block children been hurt by these unhealthy programs.
In the second place, it is impossible and not enough for one nation to limit the material, since internet has been so worldwide a problem that no one country has the ability to prevent all the materials which have bad effects for children. For example, the US government can only monitor the material within the United States; indecent materials still have access to children in United States via internet system in European or other countries. Therefore it is not sufficient for one nation to develop regulations to limit such kind of things, just as we cannot depend on merely one nation to protect the environment.
In sum, to protect the young generations is the responsibilities and obligations for all the countries. At the same time, nations should cooperate one another to develop rules to monitor children's access to adult material on the internet. Only in this way can our next generation be protected from being hurt, and only in this way can we humans have a brighter future. |
