When come to the question whether or not technology brings a lot to human beings, I will by no means hesitate to say that we should not view this question in a narrow way. Every corn has two faces. We admit that our lives are more convenient, comfortable and colorful, compared to those of our ancestors. However, there is also something, which is not we expectation but it does occur in our lives, can not be denied

Firstly, we can not resist ourselves to enjoy the convenience and comfort that technology has brought for us. The direct example is that I am employing the computer and the Internet technology to write the paper now. In this room where I am taking the TOEFL test, there are air conditioners that guarantee a comfortable environment for all the students, and some supervising systems are requited to ensure the safety of both students and the TOEFL test as well. Since the test starts at a relatively early time, I had to drive my car to the school. During that long way, comfortable facilities such as electric music system gave me some relax and air conditioner helped me relieve the pressure. All the above mentioned new things, to name a few, car, air conditioner, electric music system, computer, the Internet, and so on, are the gifts that technology offers us.

Although technology benefits us a lot, we can not deny the fact that new problems also appear with the application of that. It is acknowledged that the most serious problem is the deterioration of our environment, such as noise, air pollution, depletion of water resources, and the list going on. Probably you do not believe but it is actually a truth that I could not sleep throughout last night. Why, it is too noisy in my neighborhood to endure for me. This morning, I have to get up very early because I really worried about the traffic jam. Since I caught a serious cold these days, I had to wear a face-mask to prevent air from polluting me(怪). All these problems are consequences accompanying the development of technology. No cars, no traffic jams! No factories, no pollution! Is there still one day that we human beings will have an environment cleaner and quieter? I doubt unless we take effective measures right now to tackle these problems and to stop the deteriorating trend of the environment.

In conclusion, it is too superficial for us to view the technology with a narrow perspective. We enjoy the benefits it has brought for us, while we should also try some useful ways to make our earth a better place to live.

感觉,科技创新本身对环境还想没什么害处哦,人类太过于泛滥的和掠夺性的开发似乎应该是最大的原因.呵呵.第2个论点应该论得更加深入点,特别是科技为什么会造成污染!!!!!!!
